As it is
a well-known fact that sustainable institutions are crucial to sustainable
development processes, practically every project of ECO's has an
organizational development component. While some projects apply
a learning by doing approach, others ask for specific lessons learnt
support, one-to-one support for specialists and executive staff,
or team development processes. In rural development, organizational
development is very often an end in itself. An importnat part of
our work is to support governmental and non-governmental stakeholders
in decentralization and democratization processes.
ECO has been co-operator to the pilot phase of "Capacity Works",
the now well established management model of GIZ's. With a previous
background in each single tool applied by the model, ECO is now
also also capable to plan and work along the comprehensive strategic
approach.
