Activities comprised:
• Development and implementation of natural resources
management approaches
• Development and adaptation of tools and methods according
to international standards and guidelines during the project
implementation
• Development of approaches in the sustainable utilization
of natural resources and in income generation
• Support to women’s participation in every activity
• Involvement of local groups in the implementation
of measures for combating desertification
• Strengthening the local populations capacities for
self-help and identification of funding sources
• Dialogue facilitation among stakeholders from the
public sector, civil society and the private sector through
the set-up and implementation of consultation mechanisms at
regional, provincial and municipal level
• Identification, organization and monitoring of capacity
building and advanced proficiency training of the partners
